Nissan Qashqai 360 replaces Qashqai n-tec+ – costs from £19,945
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Nissan is replacing the Qashqai n-tec+ with the Nissan Qashqai 360 Edition complete with more equipment including a 360 degree view camera.
In fact, the best-selling Qashqai – the Qashqai n-tec+, which accounted for 60 per cent of Qashqai sales in 2012 – managed to out-sell the Ford Mondeo all on its own and sold more than the Hyundai ix35 and Kia Sportage combined. A fact Nissan are keen you know.
Now Nissan has decided to replace the best-selling n-tec+ – which sits between the Qashqai Acenta and Qashqai Tekna in the Qashqai trim league table – with the Qaashqai 360, pinning the model name on its 360 degree view camera. A bit like calling it the Qashqai Bluetooth or Qasshqai Leather. An odd decision.
The Qashqai 360 gets Nissan’s Connect with 360° Around View Monitor system, which integrates the SatNav with Bluetooth and Smartphone with four cameras to give a birds-eye view when you’re parking, and throws in 18″ alloys, privacy glass and a panoramic roof too.
Inside there’s part leather trim, gloss black detailing and a leather armrest with the exterior getting gloss black roof rails, door mirrors and the required 360 badging.
The new 360 trim is available across the Qashqai range – including the Qashqai +2 - and costs from £19,945 for the Qashqai 360 1.6 with 117PS and 5-speed manual ’box (£21,095 for the Qashqai+2) to £25,895 for the range-topping Qashqai 360 2.0 dCi with 150PS, 4WD and 6-speed auto (£27,095 for the Qashqai+2).
