One Lap of the Web: Lamborghini Gallardo replacement, Audi scrutineering and a morning dose of classic sheetmetal

Tue, 18 Jun 2013

We spend a lot of time on the Internet -- pretty much whenever we're not driving, writing about or working on cars. Since there's more out there than we'd ever be able to cover, here's our daily digest of car stuff on the Web you may not otherwise have heard about.

Details regarding the Korres Project 4 have surfaced today. World Car Fans has pre-production photos of the new vehicle built by architect/engineer Dimitris Korres. The two-seater uses a LS7 V8 for power; check out more details here.

The Lamborghini Gallardo replacement was spotted by YouTube sensation Marchettino. The new car is scheduled to debut at the Frankfurt motor show in September. It's blacked out so we can't see all the details, but the general shape is there. Check it out over at Autoblog.

If you're looking for a morning dose of '50s and '60s sheetmetal, head over to the Wheels Are Everything blog for a look at some classics under the lights of a drive-thru.

It's carspotting made easy at Hemmings. Can you guess what car bodies are being towed toward final assembly in this photo, shot sometime in the early 1950s? Here's a hint: They're all Hudsons.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is this weekend, and the boys of summer are getting prepped as we speak. Check out this photo gallery of the Audi team in scrutineering over at motorsport.com.
