One Lap of the Web: New Zonda, Euro-spec Porsches and a Gordini R17
Tue, 03 Jun 2014
-- The Pagani Zonda just refuses to die. World Car Fans is reporting the company is working on the Zonda X, based on the 760LM version.
Like the 760LM, power is expected to come from a 7.3-liter AMG V12, and some sort of sequential gearbox. WCF says the one-off is for a wealthy customer.
-- A clean example of a Euro-spec 1980 Porsche 911 SC is for sale at Bring a Trailer. The car was originally sold in Switzerland, and it's being offered by the owner's son. It came to the New World through Canada, and it's currently selling for $35,000. It has about 79,000 miles on the clock.
-- If you haven't heard of the Oldtimer Supercup in Hungary, head over to Petrolicious and check it out. Every year, a bunch of new machines come out to play after the long winter. This year, an ACMA Vespa 400 and a Renault Gordini R17 showed up, freshly restored. In total, 58 participants started the race.
