Opel teases upcoming Cascada convertible
Wed, 05 Sep 2012
General Motors is teasing a new convertible set to go on sale in Europe early next year.
Named Cascada, the four-seat convertible is based on the Opel Astra platform but is slightly larger than the Audi A5.
U.S. drivers know the Opel Astra as the Chevrolet Cruze and Buick Verano.
The Cascada uses a power fabric top that can open at speeds up to 30 mph, according to GM.
GM is not saying whether we might see a version of this open-roof car in the United States as a member of the Buick or Chevrolet lineups, but we are hopeful.
