Pagani C9 Tease - or whatever it will be called - 2

Yes, we’re at tease two in the saga that will be the reveal of the replacement for the Pagani Zonda. And we now have an extra little piece of the puzzle – or another red herring – to throw in to the mix, thanks to someone with a proper education. Well, one that included Latin.

When we got the first tease on the Pagani Huayra last week, we were pointed to it by Evo’s founder Harry Metcalfe. Pagani has set up a website to launch these teaser videos which has the domain name Deus Venti. Now one smart arse in the office has said that if you swap that round to Venti Deus it would mean ‘Winds of God’ or ‘God of the Winds’ (it’s been a while since school days). Which, sadly, is no easier than Pagani Huayra for those of us with only a minimal grasp of Romance Languages and a poor education. Of course, it could always be just Pagani Venti…

Pointless speculation about the eventual name of the Pagani C9 over, what of the latest teaser video? Well, we get treated to something slightly more substantive than a die-cast model of the new car as we got on the last VT. This time we get moody close-ups of the interior of Pagani’s new hypercar. Everything from the stitching on the seats to the rather phallic-looking handbrake you see above. And what looks like a fake 35mm film filter for the video to add extra depth and gravitas.
