Pagani Huayra: First US Pagani dealers revealed
Wed, 06 Apr 2011Pagani Huayra - now on sale in the USA
For a car maker that’s sold fewer cars in its ten year life than Toyota makes in fifteen minutes, Pagani has built a real reputation as a maker of hugely desirable hypercars.
Remarkably, that reputation has been built whilst excluding from it sales market the biggest market for hypercars of all – the United States. But that’s about to change.
With plans to increase production levels with the arrival of the Pagani Huayra from Zonda levels of around 20-25 cars a year all the way up to the dizzy heights of 40 cars a year, the US is vital to that plan. In fact, Pagani expect all of the additional cars to find their way Stateside – that’s 15 Huayras a year to America.
But for now, it seems you’ll only be able to order up a new Huayra if you’re on the West Coast after Pagani reveals that their fledgling dealer network in the US will initially consist of just two outlets - Auto Gallery of Beverly Hills and British Motor Cars of San Francisco.
Oddly – because Pagani are notorious for getting their dealers to buy ‘Stock’ cars – there will be no Huayra to test drive at either US Pagani dealers. Instead, there will be just one ‘roving’ Huayra that will double up as a test driver for prospective buyers (by appointment and real ones only, please) and press alike.
Which could be explained by a lack of completed Huayras.
