Pagani Huayra: Look out for the options!
Mon, 11 Apr 2011Pagani Huayra - look out for the options list
We managed to have a bit of a Pagani Huayra fest a month or two back as Pagani’s replacement for the Zonda hit the headlines. Universal praise for its styling wasn’t the immediate reaction, but it is a bit of a grower – apart from perhaps the Monkfish mouth.
But now comes the real world for Pagani as they start to market the Huayra in earnest. Just last week we had the announcement of the first two Pagani dealers in the US, and now we get an insight in to the options list for the Huayra, thanks to a friend of cars UK who’s just specced his Huayra.
Top price on his spec sheet was the exposed carbon fibre body, which comes in at a rather mighty €105,000. The justification for that is that Pagani has to make sure the carbon fibre weave is both perfect and matching when it’s going to be exposed. Still, that’s some price by any measure.
If you’re feeling poor you could always opt for a two-tone paint job, with part exposed carbon fibre and part painted. That would only cost €55k. But sod’s law says you’d end up next to a full carbon fibre job car at a Pagani meet and feel like a cheapskate.
Fancy a bit more power? Then opt for the ClubSport pack which gives you a few add ons and a boost to 730bhp. That’s only 30bhp more than the standard car, but it will still set you back €61k.
If all these extras seem to steep to stomach, there are some ‘cheaper’ ones on the list. A mere €17.5k for a nice set of bespoke luggage and €7.5k if you want stonechip guard. But don’t worry if you’re feeling really poor, you could always opt for painted callipers at just €3.5k.
Seems a bargain.
