Pebble Beach Tour d'Elegance 2013: in pictures

If you think of Pebble Beach as just a static car show, think again. The Pebble Beach Tour d'Elegance is an annual event in the run up to the Concours d'Elegance that gets the amazing cars of the Pebble Beach show out on the roads. And they’re not just any roads.

Back in the years before the championship golf course was established at Pebble Beach, the area was famous for its beautiful 17-Mile Drive. The scenic route weaved its way along the cliffs and through the pine forests to a picturesque crescent bay. The Pebble Beach Tour d'Elegance retraces the parts of the famous 17-Mile Drive that are still passable by motor vehicles before heading out for a lap of the Laguna Seca Mazda Raceway.

The range of world class classic cars on show couldn’t really be more diverse and seeing the stunning vehicles out on public roads was a rare opportunity not to be missed.
