Porsche is returning to the 24 Hours of Le Mans race this weekend – a perfect excuse to throw another special edition of its iconic 911 into the marketplace.
So this is the new Porsche 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition, the ideal sports car for a trip to La Sarthe to cheer on Porsche’s hybrid race car. Available only in black or white, the 911 Carrera S Martini will be limited to 80 units globally.
Well you’ll have to be quick. Porsche GB has confirmed the UK will only get two of these special editions.
Each Martini 911 gets the famous racing blue-red livery of Martini Racing along the bootlid, roof section, rear wing and the sides of the car.
Martini Racing Edition badges on the interior and the door sills confirm this 911 Carrera S as a limited edition, in case your eyes somehow missed the bright decals outside.
Standard equipment on this special edition includes the Aerokit Cup (a fixed rear spoiler and a more aggressive front splitter), Sports Chrono package, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with sat-nav, a Bose sound system and – the best bit – a 400bhp 3.8-litre flat-six hanging out the back.
Porsche claims the Martini 911 will reach 62mph from standstill in 4.1 seconds, thanks to the standard PDK and Sports Chrono pack.
Order books are open now. Porsche GB announced a price tag of £102,862 for the pair of models coming here. Bound for future classic status?
