Power, personalization and Porsche

Porsche is making it possible for Panamera owners to pump up their rides with a personalization program. Buyers can get a bump in horsepower, a sport-design package and a special set of 20-inch wheels.

The Panamera Turbo Powerkit will bump the engine output from 500 hp to 540 hp. The kit features two new turbochargers with titanium turbines. Torque will increase to 553 lb-ft without the Sport Chrono Package and to 590 lb-ft with the package installed. Top speed is increased, along with 0-to-60-mph times. According to Porsche, the Panamera Turbo Powerkit won't decrease fuel economy.

In addition to the Powerkit, Porsche is offering an appearance upgrade Sport Design Package with a color-keyed front fascia, widened black intake grilles, separate side skirts and an exterior-color rear underbody apron with diffuser and fins.

Porsche's new 20-inch Panamera Sport wheels are made from light alloy and measure 9.5 inches up front and 11.5 in back. The wheels are offered in silver metallic, black or the exterior car color.

The Powerkit ($21,730) will be available in September exclusively for the Panamera Turbo. The Sport Design Package ($4,590) and the Panamera Sport wheels come in October and are available for all models.
