Pricing for 2014 Subaru Forester unveiled

Subaru released pricing for its redesigned 2014 Forester on Friday.

The new Forester made its debut at the 2012 Los Angeles auto show back in November. But we had the opportunity to drive a pre-production model at Subaru's test facility before the show.

Pricing for the fourth-generation crossover will start at $21,995 for the base 2.5i model mated with the six-speed manual transmission. For added performance, the 250 hp turbocharged Forester 2.0XT with a premium trim package will set you back $27,995.

Other trim options include premium, limited and a top-of-the-line touring model, however pricing is still undisclosed.

Subaru adds more functionality to the Forester with added features such as a rear-vision camera and a multi-function color display, programmable rear gate with an automatic close function, remote start and keyless access.
