Range Rover Evoque SW1 Special Edition celebrates the Union

We’re not sure that if Scotland had lost the plot and voted Yes to separation from the UK that Land Rover would have revealed this Range Rover Evoque Special Edition now. But Scotland voted No and Land Rover have revealed a new Union Jack version of the Range Rover Evoque – the Range Rover Evoque SW1. Based on the Evoque Dynamic, the Evoque SW1 comes with a choice of Firenze Red, Fuji White, Loire Blue, Santorini Black or Corris Grey paint, Fuji White roof and stripes, 20″ white alloys and – here comes the ‘Inspired by Britain’ bit – Union Jack graphics on the rear spoiler, door mirrors, gear knob on manual versions and Union Jack tags on the seats, carpets, sill plates and key and ‘RANGE ROVER’ lettering in white on the bonnet.
There will also be a Monochrome version of the SW1 based on the Pure trim and featuring much the same cosmetic makeover but with monochrome graphics instead of the full Red, White and Blue.
As well as revealing the Evoque SW1, Land Rover has announced that the Evoque can now be had with a laser heads-up display – offering better contrast and colour than rival systems – that projects info on speed, SatNav, Traffic Signs, Cruise Control Status and gear status on to the screen.
The Range Rover Evoque SW1 will debut at the Paris Motor Show in October ahead of going on sale worldwide. By than, we expect Land Rover will have decided what the price of the SW1 will be.
