Range Rover Westminster & upgraded Autobiography run-out models arrive

Land Rover has revealed the Range Rover Westminster to replace the Vogue and upgraded Autobiography models, marking the end of the current Range Rover.
Back in 2001, when the last Range Rover was coming to the end of its life, Land Rover delivered the Range Rover Westminster as a run-out model. And here we are, ten years after the launch of the current Range Rover, and Land Rover has dusted off the Westminster moniker to signal the end of the current Range Rover. Perhaps, in this year of the Queen’s Jubilee, it should have been the Buckingham or Windsor, instead of rehashing the Westminster badge? No matter.
The Range Rover Westminster takes the place of the TDV8 Vogue and Vogue SE models and gets tweaked and titivated to make it more glitzy than before. There’s ‘Noble’ bright finish to the grill and side vents, silver bottom splitter and fog surrounds, 20″ 10-spoke alloys and Westminster badges.
Inside you get Grand Black lacquer, illuminated treadplates, heated/cooling seats, 1200w Harmon Kardon and the dual-view screen. You get a choice of seven exterior and five interior colours, electric sunroof, auto lights and wipers, Park Distance with rear-view camera, and memory for seats and heated steering wheel.
The range-topping Range Rover Autobiography – either in TDV8 or Supercharged guise – also gets a bit of a titivate. You now get a Titan front grill and new bumpers, 20″ Shadow Chrome alloys, side skirts and stainless steel exhaust tips.
Inside the Autobiography now gets the Range Rover Seat Style Pack as standard. That means back seats that recline (a bit) with lumbar support and the remarkably relaxing winged headrests. Back seat passengers now get ‘Seat Away’ controls for the front passenger seat (which kids love) and there are memory seats for the front passenger.
The Range Rover Westminster costs £69,995, the TDV8 Autobiography £84,295 and the Supercharged Autobiography £86,895. All models go on sale in March.
If we didn’t already know the new Range Rover is close, we do now.
