Richard Petty's second Spring Fling car show set for Memorial Day weekend

Richard “The King” Petty and Petty's Garage will hold its second-annual Spring Fling Car Show on May 26 at the shop in Randleman, N.C. The show is open to all makes and models and is sponsored by the Automotive Lift Institute.

This event, which includes a cruise-in on Friday night, is free to the public. Vehicle entry fees will go to the Petty Family Foundation. Participants get a T-shirt, a Richard Petty poster and a show plaque. Trophies will be given to the best in multiple classes.

Gates open at 8 a.m., and judging begins at 1 p.m. Regular museum admission applies. Visitors can shoot the bull with the Petty Garage team that designs and builds custom cars. Free tours of the garage will be offered.
