The Rolls Royce Ghost has been around for some time, and we’re expecting a reveal as early as the Geneva Motor Show in March. But ahead of a facelift for the Ghost we’re getting another limited edition Ghost to bolster sales – the Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification.
The Ghost V-Specification is effectively the Ghost with the powerplant from the new Rolls Royce Wraith (itself the ‘Ghost Coupe’) which means power jumps from 563bhp in the standard Gost to 596bhp in the V-Spec. But despite a jump in power, Rolls Royce are claiming the same 0-62mph as the standard spec Ghost at 4.7 seconds.
Cosmetic tweaks for the Ghost V-Spec include a set of 21″ alloys taken from the Wraith, a choice of five special paint job, V-Specification treadplates, V-Specification coach lines, hand-applied steel inlay for the Infotainment screen lid, a new clock and a bit of embroidery round the rear armrest.
Torsten Müller-Ötvös, RR Chief Executive, said:
Since its introduction in 2009, an extraordinary marriage of assured presence and remarkable driving dynamics has endeared Ghost to a new generation of highly discerning businessmen and women, ensuring the car’s position as the statement of choice for a growing band of successful entrepreneurs around the world.
Rolls Royce hasn’t revealed prices for the Ghost V-Specification – which will available until the end of June in standard or EWB sizes – but it will probably start around £190,000.
