SEAT Ibiza ST (Sport Tourer) at Geneva
Thu, 04 Feb 2010The SEAT Ibiza Sport Tourer will launch at the Geneva Motor Show
Once upon a time it was all about getting the biggest estate car you could. That was what estate cars were for. But these days style and compact dimensions appeal to estate car buyers as much as anything, so the reveal of the SEAT Ibiza Sport Tourer should mean a few more sales heading SEAT’s way.
Based on the SEAT IBZ Concept from Frankfurt last year, the Ibiza ST adds the third member of the Ibiza family to the range. Unfortunately it doesn’t get some of the nice styling cues from the concept (and the concept IBZ was a much better colour), but we’re used to the reality being less than the expectation.
Still, the Ibiza ST is a welcome addition to the very good Ibiza range. It gets a decent load space and will come with a choice of three petrol and three diesel engines when it lunches later this year, after its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
No massive detail from SEAT – or prices – but we’ll let you know as soon as we get more.
