Sainsbury's slashes fuel prices

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

SAINSBURY'S has become the latest supermarket to slash fuel prices.

From Friday, Sainsbury's is cutting the cost of its petrol by up to 6p a litre and its diesel by up to 4p a litre.

This means customers will pay no more than 129.9p a litre for petrol and 136.9p for diesel.

Richard Crampton, Sainsbury's head of fuel, said: "We want our customers to benefit from the recent drop in the wholesale price of fuel.

"Fuel is a big part of the weekly budget for many households so we hope this cut will be welcomed by drivers across Britain."

The Sainsbury's cuts follow reductions by other supermarkets over the last few days.
