Skoda Fabia vRS S2000 Limited Edition - just 200 are being built

Skoda are on something of a roll these days. They’ve just celebrated their best ever year and have now taken to making edgy commercials to celebrate powerful and niche models – a sure sign of a confident company – as illustrated by the Fabia vRS advert we ran last week.

And it’s not just on the road where Skoda are proving to be stellar performers, it’s in motor racing too. Well, the International Rally Challenge (IRC) – to be precise – where Skoda has succeeded in taking the Constructors’ Champion title this year.

Which gives Skoda the excuse to produce a limited edition model to commemorate that success, so we’re getting a 200 run of the Skoda Fabia vRS S2000 in honour of their success. And just 20 are coming to the UK.

The Fabia vRS S2000 makes do (not that it’s much of a chore) with the standard vRS setup of DSG ‘box, 180 horses and a 0-60mph of a smidge over 7 seconds. What it does get is a rally paint job in Rallye Green with a white roof, 17″ ‘Gigaro’ alloys and full race livery. So you can blat down to the shops and make believe you’re in full IRC mode.

No prices yet, but the Fabia vRS S2000 arrives in the UK in January 2011. If you want one you’d better give your Skoda dealer a shout. Soon.
