Slinky XK too boring for you? Jaguar has launched a new exterior styling pack for its coupe and convertible.
The XK is given a butch makeover with a new front spoiler, rear valance and chunkier side sills. At the front, owners can pick a new finish for the upper and lower mesh grilles in either black or bright silver, while the rear gets a two-fingered salute courtesy of twin exhaust pipe finishers. Jag calls it ‘distinctive yet elegant’ with ‘an aura of self-confidence’.
‘The enhancements give the car an even more stylish and purposeful look by deliberately lowering the visual stance of the car,’ reckons Jaguar design director Ian Callum. It’s not exactly cheap, though. The styling kit is likely to cost about two and a half grand, once you add the costs of dealership fitting to the £1763 price of the kit itself. The pack can be retro-fitted to any new-shape XK.
