Subaru BRZ costs from £24,995
Tue, 01 May 2012Subaru BRZ - costs the same as the Toyota GT 86
Subaru has revealed that the BRZ will cost £24,995 for the BRZ SE and £27,995 for the BRZ SE Lux auto. Arrives in showrooms this summer.
Toyota revealed in February that the GT 86 will cost from £24,995 in the UK. So it doesn’t come as the most enormous shock to discover that the Subaru BRZ will cost exactly the same, especially after Subaru UK told us the spec was much the same.
That £24,995 will buy you the BRZ SE which gets 17″ alloys, a torque-sensing limited slip diff and Climate. Toys include electric heated door mirrors, keyless, leather steering wheel, 6-speaker sound system with radio and iPod connectivity.
Optional extras are limited to Pioneer SatNav (£1,000) and special paint (£500) and, as far as we can work out, the only thing you get extra on the BRZ SE Lux is a set of heated leather sports seats.
Both models of the BRZ can be had with either a manual or auto ‘box (the auto ‘box adds £1500) and a choice of six colours - Satin White Pearl, Sterling Silver Metallic, Dark Grey Metallic, Crystal Black Silica, San Remo Red, and WR Blue Mica.
Subaru say that in addition to the BRZ SE and SE Lux they will introduce a basic BRZ S in 2013, which we expect to be a stripped down, manual only version.
The Subaru BRZ is now on sale in the UK with first deliveries in the summer.
