Subaru XV Concept - an Impreza AllRoad?

Last week we had the semi-reveal of a production version of the Subaru Impreza Concept, due to be revealed at the New York Motor Show.

Now, just to be even-handed you understand, Subaru has divvied up another photo, well, tease anyway, of another concept – the Subaru XV Concept – due to be revealed at the Shanghai Motor Show. There, nice and fair all round.

Sadly, we have almost no information on the Subaru XV beyond the teaser photo. It seems to show a high-riding crossover of some description, with Subaru saying the XV Concept “…blends practicality with fashionable form, fun and comfort”. Clear as mud , then. Although Subaru do say the XV Concept will get 4WD.

Coincidentally – or not – Subaru in Oz market a high-riding version of the Impreza hatch which uses the moniker Subaru XV. We wonder if Subaru are planning a high-riding version of the new Impreza due to debut in New York?Perhaps an ‘AllRoad’ version of the new Impreza Hatch.
