Subaru breaks down BRZ development: Video
Thu, 26 Apr 2012
All right, who’s in for a 20-minute documentary about the Subaru BRZ sports car?
The company saw fit to explain the development of the car in two YouTube clips. We’re sure you Subaru fans will love it.
The video touches on the car’s low center of gravity, the new platform, the 2.0-liter engine, the suspension, steering and driving—all for what Subaru says is “pure handling delight.”
The BRZ is Subaru’s take on what a sports coupe should be—inexpensive, fun and great looking. It was developed jointly with Toyota, which also has a version.
The naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine in the BRZ delivers 200 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque. That powertrain sits in a package that weighs just 2,770 pounds and has a double-wishbone suspension.
The BRZ is at Subaru dealerships now, but supplies are limited.
