Suzuki Q concept
Wed, 09 Nov 2011The second of Suzuki's concept trio is the Q, whch is designed for the inner-city commuter.
The highly stylized all-electric quadracycle is powered by an electric motor and battery pack, the Q has a range of 50km and a top speed of just 37mph. The Q is aimed at those with a short commute, described as being "ideal for everyday journeys within a radius of about six miles" and, as such, is pitched as a comfortable commuting tool.
Similar in concept to the Renault Twizy, the Q is an enclosed tandem seat concept and measures just 1300mm wide. Despite this, the flexible seating in the rear of the Q and outboard wheels, optimizing the interior space, allows the car to double up as a delivery vehicle with a large rear cargo area.
Inside, the tandem seats are the major focal point, but the orange accented details and ball-like IP, glass cluster and repeated lozenge motif design make for neat design details.
