Suzuki Regina concept
Wed, 09 Nov 2011Suzuki is preparing a trio of concepts for the forthcoming Tokyo motorshow, including this Regina concept.
The four-seat, lightweight city car is a fresh take on the economical runabout. Utilizing a traditional petrol engine and a low-drag coefficient results in fuel consumption that aims to best most of its hybrid contemporaries. The sweeping body plays to traditional aerodynamic attributes, with a blunt nose and a teardrop profile. The rear features a Zagato-esque C-pillar crossover where the DLO and rear screen meet, while the tiger claw rear lights and central exit exhaust add a sporting element.
Inside, the Regina sees a stripped-back cabin that uses touch-screen panels and transparent sections to create the IP and center stack. Swathes of green fabric and cloth adorn the cabin – an obvious nod toward the environmental attributes of the car.
