Swedish raincoat company teases Volvo Concept Estate

Volvo has brought the station wagon back to America; one small slice of the automotive continuum has been set to right. But the new V60 is a rather slinky, sporty thing, far removed from the box-plus-box-equals-box machines of the wagon's Stateside heyday. If this glimpse of the Swedish brand's new Concept Estate is any indication, do not expect a reversion to angularity when the next generation of cars arrives.
Starting with the Concept Coupe unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show, the automaker's been trotting out a line of distinctively-styled, rather lovely-looking machines built to presage the Geely-owned company's upcoming line of automobiles.
The Concept XC Coupe bowed at Detroit and promptly nabbed the EyesOn Design "Best Concept" award. Judging by the peek we got here — courtesy of Swedish outerwear brand Stutterheim Raincoats (slogan: "Swedish melancholy at its finest") — we expect the Concept Estate to be one of the stars of the Geneva Motor Show. The unveiling's less than two weeks away; we'll offer a more-informed take then.
