The most expensive Lincoln MKC is under $50k

One of the things that's fun about online "build and price" tools is picking a car, choosing all the most expensive options, then standing back in stunned amazement at the price of the car you've built. "HOLY COW! A $280,000 PORSCHE BOXSTER. NEVER THOUGHT I'D SEE THE DAY!"

Anyway, the Lincoln MKC "build and price" tool is up and we've been screwing with it for the better part of the afternoon, and no one has been able to crack the $50,000 mark on the new mid-size crossover. We've heard people complain about a $50k Ford Escape/Focus, but really, no one bats an eye at the $66,000 Audi Q5 you can click together on Audi's site; despite the fact that the Q5 is Tiguan/Golf-based. Granted, Audi is Audi and Lincoln is... Well, Lincoln has some distance to cover.

That said, the MKC looks like a car that could actually help Lincoln cover some of that ground when it goes on sale this summer.
