Top Gear Tonight: Lexus LFA, SRT, Aston Martin Vanquish, US Road Trip & Mick Fleetwood is SIARPC
Sun, 03 Feb 2013Top Gear Episode 2 of Series 19 is on tonight with a U.S. Road Trip with Lexus LFA, Dodge SRT, Aston Martin Vanquish & Mick Fleetwood is SIARPC.
The second episode of the new Top Gear series – series 19 – is on BBC2 tonight, and the main feature is a road trip across the USA – this time on the West Coast – with the boys undertaking the usual entertaining nonsense in a trio of supercars.
Jeremy Clarkson gets the Lexus LFA, James May the Aston Martin Vanquish and Richard Hammond the SRT Viper as the boys get to grips with the West Coast of America to find out which of the three supercars is the best.
The boys head off from Las Vegas to Los Angeles and on to Palm Springs and along the way get to grips with some track driving, an altercation with the local Plod and get attacked by planes before heading for the Mexican border.
Andy Wilman promises something special in the second half of the new US roadtrip in the video trailer below, which will not doubt be daft, but hopefully entertaining too.
There is no time tonight for anything other than the two parts of the West Coast US road trip, which are broken up by this week’s Star in a Reasonably Priced Car – Fleetwood Mac’s drummer, Mick Fleetwood.
Mick was a founding member of Fleetwood Mac and it’s Fleetwood Mac we have to thank for Top Gear’s theme tune – The Chain (no it’s not – Ed!).
Mick is a proper petrolhead, and taller even than Jeremy, so with cars, height and rock music to talk about it should be an entertaining SIARPC.
Episode 2 of Series 19 Top Gear airs at 8pm tonight on BBC2.
