Toyota FT-86 II concept

Toyota's FT-86 concept has had much fascination and speculation attached to it since its original show debut at the 2009 Tokyo motor show. Geneva saw the much anticipated RWD coupe receive a mild make over and feature several updates for 2011.

The FT-86 II has been developed in conjunction with Subaru, who also previewed their vision of the same brief...albeit somewhat further from production specification than the Toyota.

An evolution of the original show car, the FT-86 II has gained a bevy of additions whilst sporting revised bumpers, fenders, DLO and roof details. The silhouette (if not slightly bigger) and premise of the car remain, but the FT-86 II from Geneva would appear to be a much clearer indication of what the Toyota sports car will look like when it finally arrives.
