Toyota GT86: UK TV Advert
Thu, 16 Aug 2012As sales of the Toyota GT86 gain momentum, Toyota are upping the marketing with a new TV advert for the GT86.
Yes, the Toyota GT86 may need a bit more power. But perhaps, just like the MX-5, the joy of the GT86 is that you can explore the limits of its abilities without having to have a million horses at your disposal?
Whatever the consensus – and so far it’s very positive – the GT86 appears to be selling well and Toyota are working to make sure that continues, and grows, with a new TV advertising campaign for the GT86.
As part of Toyota’s ‘Real Deal’ campaign to celebrate a return to making non-beige cars they’re launching a 60 second advert on TV starting on 17th August featuring a computer generated man tired of living in an artificial world who uses the GT86 to bring reality back in to his life.
The advert runs to the soundtrack of Edith Piaf singing Je Ne Regrette Rien and is part of a marketing campaign that will run until March 2013 and include backup for the TV advert with press ads too.
All of which should improve sales and encourage Toyota to deliver more cars that offer real driver fun. Which is a very good thing.
