Toyota Verso S – Paris Debut
Wed, 01 Sep 2010Toyota Verso S - launches at the Paris Motor Show
It always seems like something of an oxymoron – mini MPV – but there really is no other way to describe Toyota’s new B-Class MPV – the Toyota Verso-S.
Unfortunately, this release by Toyota is one step on from a tease. They’ve told us it’s going to be at the Paris Motor Show in early October – and that they’ll be giving us all the detail on 30th September - but that’s about it.
What we do know is that Toyota aren’t expecting the Verso-S to be a huge seller, so you can expect pricing that is more aspirational than bargain basement for what’s on offer.
What’s on offer is a car which Toyota tell us had a practical and flexible interior with comfort and a perception of quality. Which is something we’ll have to take Toyota’s word for until the end of the month.
The styling is reminiscent of the styling Toyota has developed in the iQ and points the way forward not just for the next Yaris but probably for much of what is to come in the Toyota range.
Toyota believe the Verso S to be “Small, spacious and smart… an object lesson in space management.”
We’ll find out in a few weeks
