Updated 2014 Chrysler 300S to debut at LA Auto Show

The Chrysler 300 is getting a few upgrades for 2014, and it will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. To start, audiophiles -- or at least fans of a particular brand of headphones -- will be pleased to hear that the 2014 Chrysler 300S bolsters sound quality with Beats by Dr. Dre. It also features a much larger in-dash display.
Engine options remain unchanged, with both the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 producing 300 hp with 264 lb-ft of torque, and the 5.7-liter V8 pushing out 363 hp and 392 lb-ft of torque.
Outside, the 300S gets body-color door handles and fascia inserts -- Chrysler is calling it “blacked-out” style. The theme carries on inside, with black interior coloring for the center stack, instrument panel, steering wheel and door panels. In addition to previous interior color options, the 300S adds "ambassador blue" to the palette. Power adjustable seats are branded with a large “S” and wrapped in napa leather.
We think the black headlight and tail-light bezels work well with the new 20-inch wheels for the rear-wheel-drive models. Nineteen-inch wheels remain standard on the all-wheel drive.
The ZF eight-speed automatic comes standard on all 2014 Chrysler 300S models.
