Usain Bolt Gold Nissan GT-R eBay auction starts 22nd November 2012
Mon, 19 Nov 2012A ‘Bolt Gold’ Nissan GT-R – painted gold to mark Usain Bolt’s Olympic success in 2012 – will be auctioned on eBay starting on 22nd November 2012.
The Nissan GT-R ‘Bolt Gold’ is a one-off 2013 GT-R painted in the only colour appropriate for Usain St. Leo Bolt, and is being auctioned on eBay to raise funds for the Usain Bolt Foundation - which supports educational and cultural opportunities for children in Jamaica – and will be specced for whatever country the auction winner wants to take delivery.
The auction opens up Thursday on eBay Motors and runs through to the end of the day on December 2nd, but is only open to residents of countries where the GT-R is already sold. Usain Bolt said of the auction:
This project excites me because it brings together my passion for speed and excellence, and my desire to help kids and young people.
Thanks to Nissan, all the revenue from the GT-R charity auction will be donated to the Usain Bolt Foundation, which will go directly to children to help develop their education and allow them to participate in sports. It warms my heart to help kids and young people who are in the starting blocks of life, and it would be wonderful if someday this activity leads to a ‘Second Bolt.’
So if you fancy a gold Nissan GT-R with a plaque signed by the great man, you can hop over to the ‘Bolt Gold’ page on eBay Motors and stick in a bid. But it won’t be cheap.
