Vencer launch sports car design contest
Fri, 01 Jun 2012Vencer has launched a new interactive design contest that offers cash prizes and the unique opportunity to see the winning design developed into the automaker's next model.
The Dutch supercar maker, which has produced just one model to date, the Vencer Sarthe, decided to start a worldwide community-driven development of a new car during the design process for the Sarthe, which formed the basis for this contest.
On 13 December 2013 at 13.00 CET, Vencer will establish the participants with the most ‘likes' amongst those who met the conditions. The overall winner of the competition will also be awarded €5,000, while the second place and third placed submissions will earn their designers €3,000 and €1,000 respectively.
The competition is open to anyone who is passionate about car design and wants to contribute to the development of a new supercar. Those not submitting designs are also given the opportunity to wade into the debate to post comments and suggestions as well as vote for their favorite design.
Vencer was set up in 2010 by Robert Cobben, whose aim it was build a new high-quality sports car, and together with a small team of engineered he designed and built the Vencer Sarthe.
Visit Vencer's website for more details about the competition.
