Volvo Teases With Release Of New Xc90 Interior

SWEDISH car maker Volvo ramping up the hype surrounding its low awaited new large SUV. The second generation XC90 is an important car for the firm, and it’s started the process by issuing pictures of the car’s interior.

The new interior is clearly the most luxurious to have been designed for a Volvo, taking its inspiration from the country of Volvo's birth, Sweden, which has a reputation for integrating the latest technology with clean, unfussy design.

It’s also clear that Volvo is aiming high with the new XC90, as the new interior combines materials such as soft leather and wood with handcrafted details including a gear lever made of crystal glass from Orrefors, the famous Swedish glass maker, and diamond-cut controls for the start/stop button and volume control.

Volvo is planning a full reveal of the car in August, which is likely to see the car share numerous design cues with the firm’s recent slew of concept cars.
