Volvo V60 Polestar costs £49,775 – just 175 coming to the UK

We did expect, when the Volvo V60 Polestar was made official in November last year, that it would be a regular production model. But instead it’s going to be a limited edition special. That probably makes sense with Volvo busy updating their entire range, but it does mean there will be just 750 cars built, of which 175 are earmarked for the UK – the biggest allocation of any market.
Other markets getting the V60 Polestar are Canada, the Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA, and all will be fully specced cars with the only option available the colour choice: Rebel Blue, Black Sapphire Metallic, Bright Silver Metallic and Ice White.
Performance comes from Volvo’s 3.0 litre six-pot turbo developing 345bhp and 369lb/ft of torque, enough to take the V60 to 62mph in 5.0 seconds with power going to all four wheels.
Cosmetic tweaks include a new front splitter, rear diffuser and splitter and the interior gets a new steering wheel and sports seats. It’s all typically Volvo understated (unless you go for a shouty colour) and the performance is impressive.
Priced at £49,775, the Volvo V60 Polestar is now on sale, but with just 175 coming to the UK you’ll need to pick up the phone soon if you want one.
