Wacky Racer Returns For Third Attempt At Legendary Hillclimb Event

MITSUBISHI has announced that it will return to the famous Pikes Peak Hill Climb event later this month. 2014 will be the Japanese firm’s third straight attempt at setting the fastest time at the Colorado-based event.

Last year saw Peugeot blitz the opposition with its star driver Sebastien Loeb. Mitsubishi hopes its pair of all-electric racecars, which combine the best of the firm’s electric vehicle and four-wheel drive control technologies, can prove successful.

The race team will feature the same drivers as last year, with two-time Dakar Rally overall champion Hiroshi Masuoka alongside six-time Pikes Peak motorcycle champion Greg Tracy.
