Watch Hyundai's concept cars at SEMA
Tue, 05 Nov 2013
The 2013 SEMA show starts today in Las Vegas, Nev. and Hyundai will introduce several new concept cars, including the Bisimoto Genesis Coupe, the Genesis Legato Coupe and the JPE Genesis Coupe. We've all seen the pictures, but now we give you video of these concepts in motion.
The Bisimoto is perhaps the most impressive of the three, somehow packing 1,000-hp into a 3.8-liter V6 engine. What kind of sorcery is this Hyundai? Bisimoto added some internal components, including steel connecting rods, intake gasket, upgraded camshafts and injectors. So if you can't make it out to Sin City, we've got some video of the Bisimoto in action.
The Genesis Legato focuses more on performance and luxury, featuring a 3.8-liter V6 under the hood, but stroked to 4.0 liters to churn out 400-hp and 425 lb-ft of torque. The extra power is partially credited to the Brian Crower Stroker kit with JE pistons. The ARK intake also does its part by helping the concept breathe with a dual-mass flywheel and carbon clutch kit directing the power to the rear wheels.
We think Hyundai's next concept bares an uncanny resemblance to the BRZ. The JPE Genesis Coupe is certainly eye catching in its Atlantis blue finish. John Pangilinan, hence the “JP,” teamed up with Hyundai to create this concept. The Genesis Coupe gets an AEM cold-air intake, ARK performance exhaust turbo downpipe and Lucas Oil products. The total system output isn't yet available, but here's some video to give you the 360-degree look at the JP edition Genesis Coupe.
