Watch this McLaren 650S hot-lap Monza

Here's a short video of the McLaren 650S lapping the Monza racetrack in Italy. The 3-minute, 40-second clip features the company's latest supercar doing high-speed pass-bys and revving engines at the gas station. The footage came out of the “Pure McLaren Driving Experience,” an event put together for company VIPs.

We first met the McLaren 650S at the Geneva motor show last March. At the time we thought it would slot in between the crazy P1 and the milder MP4-12C. McLaren put the kibosh on that, discontinuing the lower model.

The 650S makes 641 hp from its 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8, along with a nice round 500 lb-ft of torque. Top speed is more than 200 mph, and the 0-62 mph sprint takes just three seconds flat.
