Webinars: Defining the boundary between Technical and Concept Surfacing using Alias
Wed, 12 Oct 2011CDN hosted a new webinar entitled 'Defining the boundary between Technical and Concept Surfacing using Autodesk Alias' on October 13, 2011. The online seminar was especially relevant for design engineers (from aerospace and consumer product industries as well as automotive), for surface modelers, and for lead designers who need to understand the differences between concept surfacing and Class A surfacing. The webinar is now available to view in our archive.
Presented by Veejay Gahir, Product Manager for Alias Automotive and Surface products Manufacturing Solutions Division at Autodesk, Inc., the aim of the webinar is to provide an understanding of the basic idea behind establishing slab surfaces that define the overall shape of a model; a clearer idea of the commands which will allow you to create a high quality, associative model within Alias; and knowledge of how to improve the workflow that transitions from a facet or scan model into concept or Class A model.
With over three decades of experience in the global design community, Veejay has worked in all phases of design from concept to the production environment. He has been responsible for the development, deployment and support of major CAD surfacing solutions within the industry.
In his current role as Product Manager for Alias Automotive and Alias Surface, Veejay's responsibilities include roadmap definition and expanding the capabilities of Alias products to encompass multiple phases of the design process. He is a certified trainer in Icem Surf and Icem Shape Design and teaches Alias Automotive at CCS in Detroit.
