Škoda 2013 Octavia

The 2013 Škoda Octavia has been unveiled ahead of its world debut at the Geneva motor show in March.

Škoda design chief Jozef Kabaň and his team completely redesigned the outgoing second-generation model and it has grown in length and width by 90 mm and 45 mm respectively. The wheelbase has also grown by 108mm, making more room for the occupants inside.

At the front blocky headlights sit either side of the narrow grille with integrated vertical bars while a horizontal air intake runs along the bottom of the grille.

The front overhang has been shortened while the C-pillar has been pulled backwards. A new feature is a rising window line in the rear doors while the Octavia retains its signature C-shaped rear lamps.

The carmaker, which is keen to highlight the new model's spaciousness, has upgraded the cabin from the outgoing second-generation model and now features piano black trim inserts and chrome details on the climate control dials.
