Jaguar C-X17 crossover concept revealed ahead of Frankfurt motor show debut

Jaguar has revealed the C-X17 concept ahead of its Frankfurt motor show debut, further underscoring the importance of an ever-growing luxury crossover/SUV segment. Looking a bit more like a bulked-up wagon than a scaled-down faux-truck, the C-X17 benefits from a stiff, lightweight aluminum monocoque.

Sat, 03 Sep 20112012 Nissan Qashqai 1.6 dCi 2012 - less power, better economy We’ve got used to car makers downsizing engines, managing to improve economy and emissions and yet still improve power and performance. But it doesn’t look like Nissan are going to achieve that with the arrival of the 2012 Qashqai and Qashqai +2. In the name of economy and emissions, Nissan are dropping the 2.0 dCi diesel engine from the Qashqai range and replacing it with a 1.6 litre dCi lump.
Vauxhall Vectra renamed as Insignia
Mon, 03 Dec 2007By Motor Industry 03 December 2007 09:46 Vauxhall has renamed its Vectra replacement, and like we all thought, it's going to be called Insignia. According to Vauxhall the Insignia name represents 'a new name for a new era', and we'll see if Vauxhall is telling the truth when the covers come off the new car at the British Motor Show in July 2008. It's a big claim for Vauxhall, but the teaser shot (above right) shows that at least Vauxhall seems to have gotten the design of the Insignia right.
