Ferrari to unveil hardcore 599s at Geneva show

Ferrari 599 Handling GT Evoluzione By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 27 February 2009 15:37 Ferrari will unveil two new hardcore GTs in Geneva, a handling pack-equipped 599 and a technological test bed 599XX that combines the lessons learned from the FXX program with the ideas showcased on the Mille Chili car. Yes. It won’t quite be as extreme as the Mille Chili (one thousand kilo) car, but we’re still expecting the 599XX to have many of that car’s features.

Aston Martin teases new car – could this be the ‘Final Edition’ V12 Vantage? (video)

This tease image from the Aston Martin video appears to show a V12 Vantage outline We reported recently that Aston Martin had told its dealers to stop taking orders for the V12 Vantage Coupe, which we took to mean the Vantage is coming to the end of its shelf life, at least in its current iteration. But a tease video Aston Martin has released for a new car perhaps – ‘Coming Soon’ – points to a final edition version of the V12 Vantage Coupe before it gets put out to grass. The video (below) does show what appears to be a V12 Vantage; it’s the right shape, it has bonnet vents, bits of carbon fibre and an exhaust that sounds about right.

Many car enthusiasts would easily agree to a drive across the country. We're not sure whether Edgar "Ned" Wilcox was an enthusiast, but he did the trip--from Traverse City, Mich., to Tacoma, Wash., in 1923, driving a Case Six. The trip took Wilcox and his passengers 18 days, including delays for weather and mechanical issues.
