Stig test drives motorway pub
Wed, 22 Jan 2014The BBC has released a video of the Stig test driving Britain’s first motorway pub, presumably as a way of promoting its new series of Top Gear. The video shows the Stig pull up at Beaconsfield services in a Vauxhall Insignia, before entering the Hope and Champion pub and posing for photos, and then ordering a pint of beer. VW reveals T-ROC before Geneva motor show

The chunky, raised-up crossover is based on the increasingly prevalent MQB architecture, which also underpins the Golf. VW says the T-Roc slots in below its current SUVs and it’ll even be smaller than the forthcoming Taigun.

Mon, 01 Mar 2010This beautiful green beast is the new Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, unveiled tonight at the Volkswagen Group’s big party ahead of tomorrow’s 2010 Geneva motor show. This LP570-4 Superleggera will hit 62mph in 3.4 seconds (its predecessor took four tenths longer and the LP560-4 needs 3.7 seconds for the benchmark sprint), dash past 124mph after 10.2 seconds, and reach 202mph flat out. It’s not a harder, faster version of the special edition, rear-drive Balboni Gallardo, but a harder, faster version of the regular LP560-4. Spot on.
