:

This is an OEM BMW E30 SI board that is refurbished.  It has brand new lithium batteries and brand new power capacitors. Fully tested and working 100%.  This board is for the 1982-1986 E30 clusters with the coding plug on the rear of the cluster, not the front right corner.

I will also honor a 1 year exchange/repair warranty with purchase.

NOTE:  This is NOT a 1980's production board, this is a much younger version produced by BMW for the older generation E30's.  Its production is from the late 1990's or 2000 because it has the newer lithium style batteries.

VDO Brand board.  All of my boards are hand repaired and soldered.

Refurbished SI boards repair many instrumentation problems in the E30 including non-operating or intermittent operation of temperature gauge, MPG gauge, tachometer gauge, service interval readout, and/or OBC functions/calculations.

For reviews of my products, including SI boards, you may visit or research my username Gregs///M on R3vlimited.com and Bimmerforums.com.  I have rebuilt over 150 SI boards, clusters, AFM's for the BMW community.  Plus I have 100% feedback on Ebay.

Don't trust other SI boards on the market.  Many use non OEM boards and parts.  I use only the original German boards and replace the capacitors with ones that exceed OEM specifications. My batteries are the updated replacements of the OEM batteries used. I have also 12+  years experience with electrical technology and soldering.  Many other vendors have poor solder joints and I repair those boards all the time.

It is also much better to buy from an E30 enthusiast because I can help you install the SI board step by step.  I am also capable of troubleshooting and repair all cluster problems and restoring clusters to their original condition.  I also build and sell restored clusters with custom gauges and modifications.  No one else can support your questions like me.

This SI board is done, tested and ready to ship asap.  Thank you.  If you require rush shipping, please contact me before or immediately after you purchase and I will arrange an upgrade in shipping.

Bad British drivers 'in denial'

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

A NEW study has uncovered the extent to which British drivers will stubbornly refuse to admit being wrong or behaving badly on the road. Almost all (98.7%) UK motorists believe they are safe drivers, but only 22.6% of those who had an accident admitted being at fault, which seems to display a degree of denial in British drivers when it comes to behaving badly on the roads. Carrot Insurance, which specialises in providing telematics-based policies to 17-24-year-olds, carried out the survey ahead of this week’s National Road Safety Week campaign and discovered several surprises.

Tesla ‘drops’ entry-level Model S. But was it ever going to be available?

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

The 40kWh version of the Tesla Model S is being dropped by Tesla in the US, but we do wonder if Tesla ever had any intention of delivering it in the first place. Tesla’s big claim ahead of the arrival of the, very impressive, Model S – and a seemingly vital part of the US taxpayer funding Tesla to develop the Model S – was that they would deliver a car that cost under $50k, something the car industry thought impossible. But when the Model S was launched, Tesla did indeed have an entry-level model available with a 4okWh battery that was listed at $58,750 (taking it almost down to the $50k mark after the US taxpayer chipped in the EV bribe) so Elon Musk could, quite reasonably, claim Tesla had delivered.

Electric Rolls Royce Phantom dropped

Sun, 12 Jun 2011

Electric Rolls Royce - not being built   Everyone’s at it – building electric cars, that is – and Rolls Royce are no different. They even put together an electric Rolls Royce Phantom for the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. And in many ways you can almost see the logic in an electric Rolls Royce.
