BMW N54 Billet Compressor 550 WHP Bolt-On Turbocharger Upgrade Set

If you own either a 335i, 135i, or a 535i with the N54 engine, this is your best option for replacing the problematic factory turbochargers.  While you are replacing the turbochargers why not upgrade to a set of turbos that can deliver up to 600 HP when you are ready to enjoy it?  Sounds like a smart move to us. For this level of turbo upgrade, we use good factory cores, integrated exhaust manifold and all, to end up with a true bolt-on 500 hp capable turbocharger upgrade.  These turbos are proven performers an completely street able manners.  The cartridge is replaced with a full thrust washer and bearing upgrade with larger compressor wheels and turbine shafts.  Machining of the exhaust manifold matches the cartridge and affords bolt-on fitment.  Of course as with our other specially crafted turbochargers, the compressor housing is fully ported and includes polishing to match the porting applied to the exhaust manifold primary entries.  Very complete package for supporting more than 550 WHP with ease.  These turbos offer a stout 55% improvement in airflow capacity over the factory TD03 turbochargers while keeping close to factory spool-up rates.  How does that grab you for a bolt-on in one day affair?

So what kind of numbers can you expect?  These turbos have been proven to deliver just over 500 WHP on a pump gas tune at just over 19 psi!  We're talking about 93 octane right out of the pump.  Serious horsepower and similar torque output to match.  Your Bimmer will scoot for sure.

New Ford Focus (2011 / 2012) at Detroit

Mon, 11 Jan 2010

The 2011 / 2012 Ford Focus - starts out as a saloon or hatchback The new Ford Focus – possibly the most important car in Ford’s history – debuts today at the Detroit Motor Show. Which is in itself an indication that the 2011 / 2012 Ford Focus will be the beacon for Ford’s ‘One Ford’ policy of producing basically the same cars for markets throughout the world. Scheduled to start production at the end of 2010 – and start hitting customer’s driveways in early 2011 – the new Ford Focus is just one of ten variations on the Global C Platform which Ford will launch in the next few years.

Mini Vision concept: what does it say about the brand's future?

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

The sight of Mini design head Anders Warming presenting a holographic, 3D projection of the Mini Vision concept as if appearing in his own cartoon was certainly a new one on us, but it captured the quirky, slightly left-field image the subsidiary of BMW Group has cultivated since its relaunch 13 years ago. As the 'Vision' tag suggests, this is billed as a marker of intent for the brand's future design direction rather than a pre-production teaser of the new Mini hatchback (Cooper in most markets) we'll see later this year. However if the third-generation 'new' Mini doesn't look remarkably similar we'd be amazed, such is the level of productionized detailing on this purely digital model.
