Portugal commits to the Electric Car
Sun, 23 Nov 2008Renault Electric Car [ad#ad-1] Portugal has today committed to building 1,300 recharging stations around the country by 2011, in a deal agreed with Renault to supply Electric Cars (EV). Backed by an American insurance company, the X-Prize was set up to 'inspire a new generation of viable, super-efficient vehicles that help break our addiction to oil and stem the effects of climate change'.

But now it looks like Toyota are ready to show us what hybrid technology can offer in the way of performance too, with a tease for what Toyota are calling the Hybrid-R Concept, which appears to be a Yaris with more than 400bhp on tap.
