I have 3 BMW (OEM) air filters and 2 (OEM) BMW oil filters. Both of these filters will fit a very wide range of BMW automobiles from the 1970's forward. The parts are new in the BMW factory boxes.

The part BMW number for the air filter is 13 72 1 271 254.
BMP lists the price as $18.30

The part number for the oil filters is 11 42 1 278 059 They are BMW branded Purolator filters made in West Germany. BMP lists the part for $9.16 each
The current filters are black. These red ones might be period correct for older BMW's.

The BMP web site will give you the opportunity to check on fitment across a wide variety of BMW models.


Total cost for these parts would be about $72.00 plus tax or shipping so probably about $80.00.

The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe has been revealed as the safest car in its class by Euro NCAP, ahead of cars like the new Range Rover.
