Honda recalls Accords, Pilots for suspension fix

Honda is recalling about 10,800 Accords and Pilots in the United States for a potential front-suspension failure. The recall covers the 2010 and 2011 model years. A problem with the machinery used to tighten the spindle nuts on the front axles of both vehicles, as well as the damper attachment bolts for the Pilot, could cause the suspension to fail.

The LaCrosse GL debuted on Wednesday afternoon at a Detroit concert house, ahead of a showing next week at the Los Angeles auto show. The Buick LaCrosse GL features brown and caramel-colored cocochino leather inside, ice-blue stitching and an expensive-feeling suede headliner as Buick tries to lure new customers by promoting top-shelf interiors.

Volkswagen to unveil one-seat electric car

Volkswagen will unveil a one-seat experimental car with an electric powertrain in September as the carmaker works to cut emissions and develop future driving concepts. The concept vehicle will be designed for limited journeys, VW spokeswoman Ruth Holling said Monday, confirming remarks by VW research chief Juergen Leohold to the Financial Times. The car will be presented Sept.
