Volvo is a bit of an enigma. The Chinese-owned Swedish automaker releases a stunning concept from time to time, and we're often pleasantly surprised by the Volvos that enter out test fleet, but it hasn't done much to generate sales numbers -- or buzz -- in the North American market. BMW recruits drivers for ActiveE electric car

BMW has started recruiting drivers in seven U.S. markets to field-test its first all-electric vehicle, the ActiveE. Seven hundred prospective drivers in Boston, Hartford, Conn., New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento and San Diego, Calif., are being sought.
