Nearly half of male drivers admit to sleeping at the wheel
Thu, 09 Jan 2014Nearly half of male drivers admit to having fallen asleep at the wheel, a survey has found. Road safety charity Brake and insurance company Direct Line found that 31% of all drivers admit to ‘head-nodding’ at the wheel – meaning they’ve fallen asleep while driving a car for between two and 30 seconds. ‘Crash avoidance’ systems rated for safety
Thu, 10 Oct 2013The European car safety body Euro NCAP has confirmed it is currently testing a number of cars fitted with crash avoidance technology in an effort to judge the systems’ effectiveness. This news coincides with an announcement from the American Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), which has published the first results of its own version of the scheme. Euro NCAP and IIHS are cooperating to establish a standardised test formula.

It's a Nissan Leaf dolled up in Infiniti finery, and points to the production car coming in the next couple of years. I thought electric cars were all city runabouts.
